Perry was unaware that he was still in the photo when Schwimmer was speaking with the reporter during the trio's interview for Entertainment Tonight.

Le Blanc supported him as he started waving at people to get off the camera.

The former Top Gear host gave him a soft poke and explained: "Matty, that's the girls doing an interview."

"You're on camera," he politely added.

Perry, looking embarrassed, asked the reporter: "Are you in a three-shot seeing me do that?"

Laughing, the deceased 54-year-old continued to make jokes about how he "looked like a crazy person."

Friends fans have been gushing about the cast's friendship in the wake of Perry's death, especially applauding Le Blanc for "always looking out" for him.

"As his castmates have said over the years, he was ALWAYS looking out for them," one person penned on TikTok.

"I love that Matt and David were being kinda protective over Matthew," said someone else.

A third went on: "I love how Matt comforts Matthew and makes him understand that the girls are also doing the interview."

"I love how the boys backed up Matthew and copied him when he thought he was off camera," echoed another.

"Matt covering his best friend here with genuine love," someone else wrote, adding that 'you can’t fake decades of friendship'.

Perry spoke movingly on the cast's "special" bond during their Friends reunion in 2021.

He said: "The best way that I can describe it is after the show was over, at a party or any kind of social gathering, if one of us bumped into each other, that was it.”

"That was the end of the night. You just sat with the person all night long and that was it.”

"You apologized to the people you were with, but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night.”

"And that’s the way it worked."
