After seeing a recent Burger King dish that has gone viral online, you'll completely understand why.

As much as some foodies would hate to admit it, American cheese is superb, which is why cheeseburgers have long been a popular fast food option.

But the newest item on the fast food chain's menu branded the "real cheeseburger," might make you wonder just how much cheese is too much.

The burger, which was introduced in Thailand on Sunday (July 9), does not contain any meat; instead, consumers are given an abundance of cheese, namely 20 slices, according to CNN.

The 'Super Cheeseburger' is available for 109 Thai Baht, or $3.13, as opposed to the standard price of 380 Baht ($10.90).

"This is no joke. This is for real,” Burger King stated in a social media post made on Facebook on Sunday.

According to CNN, cheese is also quite popular among younger consumers and is frequently used in Thailand in a variety of foods.

Customers shared videos of themselves eating the novel food right away, and the cheeseburger immediately became popular on TikTok.

However, regionally specific menu items are common at fast food restaurants. For instance, diners in Thailand have the option to order salmon katsu burgers in place of beef.

The flame-grilled beef burger known as the Whopper is Burger King's hallmark dish over in the United States.

In May, the fast food joint released a special menu in honor of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse that included a Whopper with a red bun.

And even while Burger King hasn't collaborated with Peter Parker for a Spider-themed burger, red is a major color for the restaurant chain.

Red and yellow are used in many food brands' logos and branding, not simply Burger King. Examples include McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut.

There seems to be a fairly straightforward explanation for that.

Don't Miss

According to TikToker @vincent.ttcoach, colors have a profound effect on our minds and bodies, drawing our attention and triggering cravings.

He claims that while yellow definitely sticks out and is easier to see, red makes us feel more tense.

Big corporations utilize brilliant colors to entice consumers to interact with them, claims Karen Haller, who owns a behavioral design firm.

"Looking at the positive psychological qualities of red and yellow in relation to the fast food industry, red triggers stimulation, appetite, and hunger, it attracts attention. Yellow triggers feelings of happiness and friendliness." she wrote on her website.

Burger King's real cheeseburger has made waves in the fast food world, capturing the imagination of cheese lovers worldwide. The abundance of cheese, the viral videos, and the strategic use of red in branding have contributed to its popularity.
